Finding Kyron Email Alert

The Following statement is a copy of our Finding Kyron Email Alert. We are sending this alert out with every possible outgoing email and asking the receivers to pass this along and/or copy it and add it to their outgoing email. We feel this Email alert will aid in the search for Kyron- and help people stay in touch with us concerning the search efforts for Kyron Horman. We also have what we call "The Kyron Code" to go along with this Email Alert. "The Kyron Code" can be seen to the right of this web page. "The Kyron Code" is for everyone who thinks they may see a child that could be Kyron.

We have a website set up specifically for Active Search Effort information to the public. If and when we know of an active search effort, we will post that effort to Kyron's Newsletter website.

Finding Kyron Email Alert

Kyron Horman is missing. Kyron went missing from Skyline Elementary School, Portland, Oregon on June 4, 2010 somewhere between 9:00 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. Kyron has blue eyes and brown hair. Kyron wears fairly thick glasses and his adult teeth were just starting to come in. Kyron weighs approximately 50 pounds and stands 3' 8" tall. Kyron's favorite color is red, Kyron loves soccer, model cars, and wants to become a detective. Please feel free to copy attached flyers and hand out as much as possible. Please copy attached flyers to your computer and attach to all possible out-going email. Begin With What You Have

Beginning my projects, I started with opening a box of long-ago purchased post cards that were developed in the early stages of the building of my design and development company...

I thought the post cards would add a strength to my project.. so I took bond paper, (I already had a full package of) and cut out the birds in the photo, and glued them to the bond paper which I had already cut to size using my post cards as a center- (post cards don't show, they just add weight to the bond paper)...

I did purchase my fuzzy yarn- and I used it as a necklace chain and bird nest for my projects..

The projects were attached using yarn by using my hole puncher, which I already had... although I did purchase the glue sticks to add Kyron's photo on the back of my project.

I wear my necklace everywhere I go.. it opens the door to talking about Kyron as people are curious about the necklace...

The moral of this story is, check around the house.. you most likely have a good stock of inventory for making little gift handouts for Kyron...

Remember to stick with the Bio of Kyron... Kyron loves Red, wants to be a detective, and loves model cars and playing soccer... this creates a consistent mind set in the public eyes.. they see one of these items, it automatically reminds them of Kyron- once they have this format firmly planted...

Even our Christmas tree will be decorated with Kyron Handouts and we will take photos and add to our Kyron Christmas cards.. (we will purchase at a dollar store)..

Kyron's Christmas "Tiny Gift Stocking" idea

While searching our local dollar stores, we found a package of tiny gift stockings (6) for $1.00- we also found simulated matchbox cars in a package of 4- for $1.00.

We purchased a dozen each.. a total of $5.00.. and plan to hand out the stockings with a tiny candy cane, a car (Kyron loves model cars) and a tiny card with Kyron's photo and information attached... A flyer will also be attached...

Creativity is all it takes to form a Kyron gift handout idea that is affordable, beautiful and cute- take a day off and go shopping at your local dollar stores and find all kinds of things.. maybe a tiny soccer ball, or detective magnifying glass..

We know Kyron loves to play soccer, wants to become a detective, and loves model cars.. Kyron loves the color red..

If everyone hands out a little, we can all be involved in finding Kyron and helping the public stay aware of Kyron's face and information... It doesn't have to be expensive to be creative- and it can fit Kyron's Bio well... we like to stick with things that pertain to Kyron's likes and dreams, helping the public be aware of Kyron and the fact that Kyron is out there, somewhere...

Sometimes, one can find a whole package of little wooden cars and trucks, etc.. also. These packages are usually not more than 1-2 dollars at thrift stores and dollar stores.. check around- you'll discover a world of opportunity waiting for sharing Kyron's message... Victoria

By doing so, you give Kyron "The Gift Of Coming Home".. helping everyone remember to keep searching, looking and listening for Kyron...

Kyron Christmas Cards

A great idea for Kyron's Christmas Cards... (Free Christmas Reminders For The Public To Remember To Search For Kyron During The Holidays)...

Dollar stores have beautiful cards... all for $1.00- Purchase your cards and add (glue) Kyron's photo and information on the top inside of your cards... add your personal message to the bottom inside of your cards...

Create a template on your word document in beautiful font and color... (Create The List) and print/cut out for your Kryon Christmas Message...

Our message will read something like this:

Happy Holidays from all of us who are searching for Kyron Horman- Please remember to watch for Kyron during this busy season.. we thank you! Victoria

Designing: At the time a Kyron Creation project is on my design drawing board, I most usually (with some very little exception) begin with a blank template.. by template, I mean poster, flyer, banner, post card, etc.

The color schemes, arrangements, and graphics are added as the design begins to take form.

The Kyron Code

For anyone who thinks they may see Kyron in a public setting (or otherwise), it's easy to find out if this may be Kyron by simply asking (in a low-key chit chat conversation) the child some questions that only Kyron will be able to answer.

1. Kyron loves the color red. Ask the child what his favorite color is.

2. Kyron loves soccer. Ask the child if he likes sports and ask what sport. He should name soccer right off.

3. Kyron wants to become a detective. Ask the child what he wants to be when he grows up.

The answers: Red, Soccer, and A Detective should come up.

Call out Kyron's name- Call 911 immediately if you think this child could be Kyron...

This is called "The Kyron Code"... most adults don't mind harmless child/adult chit chat on this level. If Kyron is with an adult and that adult acts nervous about your chit chat, call out Kyron's name and if he responds, call 911.

Note: The Kyron Code is a helping tool. It is not a replacement for your assessment of an immediate situation. Sheriff Dan Staton has asked that if you think you see Kyron, call 911 immediately. Please do not wait until it is too late. If you are not in a situation for asking questions, still, don't hesitate, call 911 or call Kyron's name and call 911. Please use good judgement.
